Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Plan: The Executive Office of the President issued a Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Plan in response to the growing epidemic. Part of New Hampshire's response to this epidemic has been to host community take-back events across the state to encourage residents to properly dispose of excess medications to prevent and deter abuse. In the most recent take-back event held in April 2011, take-back sites in NH collected over 4,000 lbs of unused prescription medications.  Read more »
